In a Boston hospital, All Souls Hospital, Dr. Mitchell Grace tries to discover the truth about the haunting that date as far back as the Civil War. Vampire High is a Canadian TV series which originally aired from 2001 to 2002. The show centered on a group of young vampires subjected to a daring experiment by the "Elders": taken in by a boarding school that also housed mortal teenagers, with the intent of civilizing the vampires. Many problems faced the students on both the day and night curriculum, including typical teen issues of love, friends and enemies. Professor Murdoch was on hand to help them along with their school work, but he too had problems that could put the lives of the teens in mortal danger. During YTV airs episode fourteen, "Odd Man Out", the series made its debut in the USA on The WB Television Network on January 7, 2002 with the episode "Rules Are Rules", and ended on May 27, 2002 with the hour-long special, "Both Sides Now / Sunrise".

The series was developed by Peter Hume, who served as executive producer/show runner and wrote the first and last episodes, among others.

Mutant X is a science fiction television series that debuted on October 6, 2001. The show was created by Avi Arad, and it centers around Mutant X, a team of "New Mutants" who possess extraordinary powers as a result of genetic engineering. The members of Mutant X were used as test subjects in a series of covert government experiments. The mission of Mutant X is to seek out and protect their fellow New Mutants. The series was filmed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Even though the series had high ratings and was meant to be renewed for a fourth season, it was abruptly canceled in 2004 after the dismantling of Fireworks Entertainment, one of the show's production companies, ending the show on a cliffhanger.
